The Boone Grove girl’s tennis team traveled to Cedar Lake and Dyer on Saturday to participate in the South County Invitational. The girls scored a stunning overall 3rd place finish! Team Point Totals 1st - Illiana - 47 2nd – Kankakee Valley - 33 3rd – BOONE GROVE - 30 4th - HC & Merrillville - 25 6th - Griffith - 20 7th - Lowell - 19 8th – Bishop Noll - 6 #1 Doubles Isabel Francis and Keira Hubbard (def. Merr. And Griffith), #2 Singles Rhianna Ramos (def BN and HC), and #3 Singles Lindsey Ruthkay (def Merr. And Lowell) each scored 8 points for BG reaching the championship game for their respective divisions. #1 Singles Gabby Trajkovski and #2 Doubles Ella Wilson and Morgan Shurr each added 3 points with 6th place finishes. The BG girl’s tennis team will take this momentum into the coming week with 4 scheduled matches.
