Hubbard Leads Wolves Past Griffith Senior forward Keira Hubbard scored twice to lift Boone Grove past Griffith, 4-2, in girls soccer action Wednesday. The Wolves struck quickly in the first half, netting two goals in a span of just 66 seconds to take a 2-1 lead. Boone Grove’s attack continued to apply pressure after halftime, putting the match out of reach. The Wolves (2-0) will host Hobart on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Wolves Den. Boone Grove Boys Fall in Season Opener Boone Grove’s boys soccer team dropped its first match of the season, falling 3-2 to Kankakee Valley on Thursday. Senior Maison Coates and junior Josh Gillespie each scored for the Wolves, who nearly forced a draw in the closing minutes. Boone Grove (0-1) will begin their home slate Saturday with a 1 p.m. matchup with Portage. Wolves Push South Central to Five Sets in PCC Opener Boone Grove’s girls volleyball team rallied from two sets down before falling 3-2 to South Central in its conference opener Thursday night. Junior libero Lauren Voudrie anchored the defense with a school-record 54 digs in the loss. The Wolves (3-3) are back in action Monday when they host Rensselaer Central. Junior varsity begins at 5:30 p.m.
